A typical day in support of moodle.....sort of

Today, I had a few requests that upon reflection, I like to think about and how they are accomplished.

1 - Can you restore a copy of a course for one of your vendors.  I have some courses from vendors that I backed up and removed from the server a while back - to save DB space, so vendors occasionally contact me and ask questions like this

"

Sorry to bother you again, but the maintenance team is reporting that they only have access to the first semester shell for Earth Space Science v12 (GS), can you provide access to the second semester shell?

"

It reminds me that we split this course too.  I have a special moodle account called backupmaster, where I can find backups of vendor courses from over the years.

2 -  Adding courses to our Demo category on the moodle server, and then enrolling a special account that we use for demo purposes.  From my customer

can we add the first 3D Modeling course to our demo course list?

3 -  Removing enrollments from our externally synced DB.  We do not yet manually remove enrollments from the moodle courses when they are removed from the other side - that being a DB called Genius.  From my customer

4 - Removing content from courses.  As the semester progresses, and it becomes more clear that some students are not going to handle the full rigor of a course, we remove it.  Dumb it down, make it more palidable for our challenged students.  From my customer

We have a number of changes to the Wayne Education Center courses.  Let me know if you want to get together to clarify all this. 

Career Planning
For these two Career Planning courses, we will delete Units 4-6:

We will leave the Final Exam intact for now, because we may have Jennifer reduce its content, so it only covers Units 1-3. Is that something you could help her with?

Career Planning - next year​
For next year, we are going to split the 6-Unit Career Planning course into two courses, with course 1 having Units 1-3 and course 2 having Units 4-6. Guess we can talk about that later, if you want. 


Digital Photography​
For all four sections of Digital (Robords, Brown, Siegel, and Siegel again), can we increase the file size for submissions? I think it's currently 20MB and should be double that at least. 

For these two courses, delete Units 5-10 and the Final Exam:
