Remote access to moodle 2.2 server

For the past week, I have been getting slightly annoyed when i would remote into my server from my desktop and then get kicked off if I was idle for very long.

This am, it happened again. I remoted in, authenticated, Opened the browser, launched moodle.

Its not a lot of work, but enough to be annoying when disconnected for being idle.

To my point.

I searched "set the remote login timeout windows 2003 server" and found instructions on how to adjust that setting.

How to adjust the timeout for users remoting into the server.

Start|Programs|Administrative Tools|Terminal Services Configuration

  1. In Connections folder, double click the RDP-Tcp connection
  2. Click on the Sessions tab
  3. Change the Idle session limit value.

Moral of the story?

Save yourself a little aggravation by increasing the idle time disconnect.
