Be a good citizen and share your good ideas and solutions to things that were DIFFICULT to solve.

Make backups of your Apache configuration files! - store copies in a folder on your desktop.

 If you ever get hacked or if the drive fails (wait a minute, you should make a copy of the copy and store on a network drive somewhere), the worst thing that can happen is that you have to try to reconfigure this file from scratch.

This is a rule with ANY configuration file in your moodle setup.  Including

config.php
php.ini
MySql.ini

WHY WHY?

For me there is nothing worse than having to SOLVE SOMETHING again.  I don't mind solving it once, but if it was a difficult solve, I do not want to EVER have to solve it again.  That is the higher concept skill I like to talk about.  Solve it once, you do NOT HAVE TO MEMORIZE the details of the solution.  Just remember the problem and that you solved it.  When you see the problem again, you will remember that you ALREADY SOLVED THIS, and only have to find the snippet or file or documentation OR BLOG POST where you explained how you solved it last time.

Moral of the story?

Be a good citizen and document the good ideas you come up with and the difficult problems you solve.
