How to turn off activity reporting in your moodle my moodle home space

My customer emailed me earlier and said "James, I enrolled our demo account in a course today, and now there are assignments for the course showing up on the home page"...

Upon further investigation, they were not assignments showing in the home space, but journal activities.

See those Journal references in the home page, which may be ok some times, but not in this case.

I turned the Journal reporting off in the my moodle space by going to Site Admin | Plugins | Activities | Journal  and found this nice little setting.

After changing that to No, problem solved.

This problem was kinda easy to solve only because I had done something similar with the assignments and quiz settings.  These settings are site wide, not course wide.  Once we turned off the reporting to the my moodle page for assignments and quizzes, they were off for ALL COURSES.  The journal did not get turned off because it is not a frequently used activity type.
