My customer mike makes a request like this "we have a couple enrollments for course xx, can you put a copy in teacher xx folder". I snap into action and take the following steps.
Find the course
- Login to our backupmaster account
- Verify that we have the course (search for the title)
- Ensure it is not already deployed
- Verify if the course is already deployed in the instructors course
Restore the new course
- If not, restore a copy of the course into the teacher category
- Pay special attention to the course short name - as it is used to synch with our external system Genius - use the pattern coursename-teachername
After course is restored
- Manually enroll the teacher into the course in the teacher role
- Check the course settings - full and short name - copy the short name - verify the gradebook, assignment and quiz settings, according to our standard.
- If the gradebook not setup - follow standard to format it.
- If quizzes, assignments are not set up, run the php scripter script
Synch with external enrollment system
- Login to Genius and find the course - section
- Verify that the section lmsid matches the moodle course short name.
