Verify my moodle LDAP activation...

My LDAP customer contacted me the other day with this question.

Hi James,

We would like to test network password changes with our admin team on Tuesday, November 17.  After we change passwords, how long before Moodle syncs with Active Directory?

Before we do password changes on a grand scale, we thought we would start small!
I opened the ldap moodle docs and wanted to verify that the LDAP was active, I knew it was, but was interested in this moodle php reporting page.  Browsing here for the PHP info. report
http://domain-name/admin/phpinfo.php

I did a search for ldap and found the section below, that affirmed what I knew.

The answer to her question is instantaneous.  As soon as the passwords are changed in the LDAP, the very next time someone authenticates in the moodle, they will need to use the updated password.  Because of this setting in the moodle ldap configuration Bind settings. If no password is being kept in the moodle DB, then it will not look there and find an older, different password.
