Removing the text overridden from a User Gradebook report

Oye.  The gradebook is the most scrutinized entity in our moodle courses.

I have been massaging this gradebook on and off the past couple days.  this is a course with a decent amount of grade - able rigor (quizzes, forums and assignments).  The teacher is new to moodle this year.  I had to restore some missing content into the course, where students had already been working.  They had grade-able activities completed.  I think the restore may have caused some issue s with the items in the gradebook, forcing some of the forums to be set to override.  The teacher and my customer where trying to grade forum posts, but the grade would not appear in the User report.  When looking at the Grader report, you could turn on editing and edit the forum in question and see that the override option was active.  Removing the override option, checkbox, corrected the issue with the User report.  That was it, thought I was done with this.

The override in the activity pushed up to the course level too.  This caused a different issue in the User report, the % completion average to not display.  Instead, it looked like this.

The User report is now cooperating.

Moral of the story?

1. If override is selected for a grade-able activity, it will not push or show its grade in the User Report.
2. Override at the activity level causes the parent - course level grade to also be over ridden
3. The over ridden setting does not allow the aggregation at that category to work either.
