Deleting a uploaded file

Today, my customer said "I was logged in as one of my students and was testing an activity where I uploaded a file, but I can't figure out how to delete it"...

Seems a reasonable request,

How do I delete an uploaded assignment file?

From the course home page, click on

Course Admin
Legacy course files
Browse the folder containing the activity
Open the folder
When you see the file in the folder, click on Edit legacy course files
You should see an icon to the right of the file name, where you can choose delete...

After choosing delete, click the Save changes button.

Moral of the story?

You have to browse to the file area of the course to delete uploaded files, you cannot do that from the assignment activity itself.
